Jassy stated on the Q3 2026 earnings call that within two to three years there will be six to eight models that are about as good as each other or at least good enough for 95 percent plus of workloads. He cited past examples from databases and frameworks where no single tool dominated.
Bedrock now includes OpenAI models alongside Anthropic, Meta, Mistral, DeepSeek, Moonshot, xAI and others. The Converse API supplies a common interface so teams can call different models without rewriting pipelines for each provider.
Jassy reported that most Bedrock traffic already runs on Amazon's Trainium chips. Year-over-year spend by Fortune 500 companies is nearly seven times higher and token volume is up nearly seventeen times.
The service does not give model providers access to customer prompts or responses, and that data is not used to train the underlying models. Jassy presented these protections as a reason enterprises choose Bedrock.
