Locus: how to stop an agent from using the wrong account
Agents inherit whatever accounts happen to be logged in on your computer. Locus pins an agent to one identity, so acting as the wrong client becomes impossible.
The field note
Consultants and agencies have a scary problem. Your laptop is logged into GitHub, a cloud provider and a database tool, often for several clients. You start an AI agent. It uses whichever account is active right now, which might be the last one you used.
Locus is built around one idea: pin the agent to one client. When you run locus pin and name a client, every command, every MCP tool and the local dashboard are scoped to that one identity. The agent gets a sealed session, not the ambient logins on your machine.
