ashlr-plugin renames its command to avoid a collision
ashlr-plugin 1.36.4 renames its npm command to ashlr-plugin so it no longer overwrites the ashlr command from Ashlr Hub. This is an Ashlr release.
This briefing covers a release from Ashlr’s own developer-tool projects. Product claims come from the linked sources; this is not an independent review.
What changed
Two of our tools used to share a command name. Both ashlr-plugin and Ashlr Hub installed a command called ashlr. If you installed both, the second one overwrote the first. That is a bug a user cannot easily see.
ashlr-plugin 1.36.4 was published on GitHub on September 30, 2026. Its npm command is now ashlr-plugin. The ashlr-mcp entry point is unchanged. The release notes tell existing users to replace ashlr <subcommand> with ashlr-plugin <subcommand>. MCP registrations, tools, environment variables and saved state stay the same.
