Ashlr MD: a home for the Markdown your agents write
AI agents write Markdown files all day. Most computers show them as a wall of symbols. Ashlr MD opens them as clean, readable documents.
The field note
If you use AI agents, you collect .md files: plans, notes, research dumps and READMEs. Double-click one and you usually see raw symbols in a text editor, or nothing at all. For a non-technical teammate, it is unreadable.
Ashlr MD fixes the simple job. Double-click any .md file and it opens as a clean document, with formatted code, tables, diagrams and math. You can read it, edit it without seeing the symbols, and export it to PDF, Word or HTML without extra tools.
It has on-device AI for summarizing, explaining and rewriting. On Macs with Apple silicon and macOS 26 or newer, it uses Apple's built-in models. On Windows and Linux, it uses a local Ollama model, or your own cloud key if you add one. Nothing leaves your device unless you opt in.
